Melanie has been teaching the arts since 1993. Now working with the Los Angeles Music Center and Orange County Performing Arts Center, Melanie offers Italian Street Painting workshops to children and adults. The workshops are fun and educational while teaching the students to work together to create a vivid asphalt masterpiece. This experience is a team building effort that ends with a sense of pride and accomplishment for all involved.

In 2007, Melanie created a 12 x 12 foot street painting at the Visual Arts Scholastic Event in Houston Texas and donated it to the organization. V.A.S.E. is a regional competition for high school art students sponsored by the Texas Art Education Association. As Featured artist, Melanie performed her inspirational street painting titled, "The 3 Muses. " during the two day event and offered her soft pastel expertise to students and teachers.
